Discussion

Launch date reviewed against the open billing defect. Team agreed the two ship together rather than decoupling the release.

Outcome

Launch moves one week; billing fix rides the same release.

Just want the words? Every recording gives you a clean, verbatim transcript on its own. Drop a recording. Get it back as text.

The anatomy

There’s no menu. There’s your recipe.

Under every world above is a project type — think of it as a saved recipe. It pairs a template (your document’s sections — what goes where) with instructions (how it’s written — the tone, the rules, how to read your spoken commands). Set it once. Every recording you send after that comes back as that document.

Summary

Launch slips a week so the billing fix ships with it.

Decisions

Launch moves to the 22nd — one release train.

Action items

James — revised checklist by Friday. Diego — deploy Wednesday.

Start from a ready-made world

Pick a world above and it’s ready to use — the podcast recipe, the SOAP note, the radiology report.

Or describe your own

Not on anyone’s list? Tell the assistant what your document looks like — about five minutes of questions — and it builds the recipe for you.

Yours on every plan

Building and saving your own is part of every plan, the free one included.

How it works

From recording to finished document.

01
Send it in

Drop a file, record in your browser, paste a link — or forward audio by Telegram or email.

02
It transcribes, word for word

You get a verbatim transcript, so you can check any document against exactly what was said. A one-hour recording is usually ready in a few minutes — minutes, not seconds — and we'll tell you when it's done.

03
Your recipe writes the documents

Exactly the documents your project type calls for. Nothing you didn't ask for.

04
You finish it

Edit any document in place, regenerate without losing your edits, export it however you need, or pull one more document from the same recording.

Channels

It meets your recording where it already is.

Privacy — behaviour, not badges

Your recording doesn’t hang around.

Everything you send is deleted after 7 days by default. Keeping a project longer is your decision — one project at a time, up to your plan’s limit — and no one can extend it for you. Every deletion writes you a receipt, so “gone” is something you can prove, not something you take on trust. Your recordings and transcripts are never used to train or improve AI models — ours or anyone else’s — and never sold. We don’t build a profile of you from what you record. It’s the same whether it’s a podcast or a consult: deleted fast, provably, and never fed to a model to learn from. Switch analytics off completely, and one button clears everything.

Plans

You pay for hours. Everything else is yours.

The only thing metered is audio time — the part that actually costs money to run. Writing documents, building your own recipes, regenerating, exporting — never metered. Every plan has the whole product; you’re only choosing how much audio you run through it.

Questions

The short answers.

What does Verbato do?

Verbato turns a recording into the finished document you need — not just a transcript. You describe a document once, its sections and how it's written, and every recording you send after that comes back that way: a report, show notes, an interview Q&A, meeting minutes. Drop a file, record in your browser, or paste a link.

Is there a tool that lets me define my own document format once and fills it from every recording?

Yes — that's what Verbato is built for. You set up a project type once (a template for the sections, plus instructions for how it reads and writes), and every recording after that fills it. Most tools hand you a fixed set of outputs; Verbato makes the document you defined.

Can't I just use ChatGPT for this?

You can paste one transcript and prompt it once. The difference is every-time versus one-time: Verbato remembers your document and applies it to every recording, keeps a verbatim transcript beside it so you can check the work, saves each version when you edit, and can send the result back to Telegram or your inbox. It's the repeatable version of what you'd otherwise redo by hand, every time.

How accurate is it?

Paid plans use accurate transcription across 99+ languages. Just as important, the verbatim transcript sits right next to your document, so you can check anything against what was actually said. You sign nothing you haven't verified.

What happens to my recording?

By default it's deleted after 7 days. You can keep a project longer when you need to, and every deletion writes you a receipt you can see. Your recordings are never used to train AI models.

How long does it take?

A one-hour recording is usually ready in a few minutes — minutes, not seconds. You can close the tab; we'll notify you when it's done, and if it arrived by Telegram or email, the result comes back there.

What can I send it?

Audio or video — upload a file, record in your browser, or paste a link from YouTube, Google Drive, Dropbox, Vimeo and many more. You can also forward audio by Telegram or email.

What's the catch with the free plan?

None hidden in the documents. Free is the whole product — every capability and every export format — on a smaller monthly amount of audio, with limits you'll see before you reach them. No card to start.

Can it write a report, session note, or show notes in my format?

Yes. Start from a ready-made world if one fits, or describe your document to the assistant in about five minutes and it builds the recipe. From then on, every recording comes back in your format.

Does it work in Spanish?

Yes — Verbato works in English and Spanish from the free plan, and in 99+ languages on paid plans. Documents come back in the language you need.
